Hi,
how can i see the E1-WAN-Utilization in percentage and not in bits/s?
alex at slot.hollandcasino.nl
already gave an answer to :

who already asked this question. The answer you can see below
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A percentage can be calculated as follows:
current speed / maximum speed * 100.

This can be written as:
current speed / (maximum speed/100)

So your target should probably read:
Target[e1]: 1:public at router / 2400

Reasoning: E1 is 30*64kbps (modify if yours is different) is 1920kbps.
This means a MaxBytes of 1920000 / 8 == 240000
Divide by 100 to get 2400.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
i am using E1 with 2 MBit/s. 960 kBit/s in normal mode and 1920 kBit/s in
bursted mode. We pay only for the normal mode. The bursted mode is not
guaranted by our provider and can only be given for a very short time
(seconds).
when i look at the graph, generated by this *.cfg i don`t agree to the
output. To verify the util. i use the HP Node Manager to see the current
util in %. There the average is about 10% with short peaks up to 90%. in
the mrtg graph it`s much more constant. During more or less 15 Minutes it
shows an util of 60%.
What am i doing wrong?
Does somebody have an idea or experience with showing utilization in
percentage instead of kBit/s?
I thank for for every answer...
Mit freundlichen Grüssen
