[mrtg] Monitoring values greater than (2^31) - 1

Hi,
I'm running MRTG on a Windows machine.
The problem is that when I set values greater than (2^31) - 1 (for
MaxBytes or AbsMax, for instance), these values are not handled
correctly. I supposed that the problem comes from the fact that the
data type used to store values is signed integers. I tried to use
RRDTool and it works perfectly. (probably it uses another data type).
For example, if I monitor the usage of memory of a server than have
2,5GB of physical memory, I set MaxBytes to 2684354560, but the max red
line is shown under 2GB.
Problem is the same for collected values that are greater than (2^31) -
1.
I'd like to know if there's a way to handle such big numbers (other than
waiting for the release 3 of MRTG which will use RRDTool or using
RRDTool).
Many thanks,
Francesco.
