This is the definition for the supposed consolidation function that does
not exist in that particular .rrd file, right? (I'm new to reading
these XML files, so I'm not completely sure of this)
<!-- Round Robin Archives -->
<rra>
<cf> RRD </cf>
<pdp_per_row> 8 </pdp_per_row> <!-- 2400 seconds -->
<xff> 1.4821969375e-321 </xff>
<cdp_prep>
<ds><value> NaN </value> <unknown_datapoints> 0
</unknown_datapoints></ds>
<ds><value> NaN </value> <unknown_datapoints> 0
</unknown_datapoints></ds>
</cdp_prep>
<database>
<!-- 2002-04-25 00:00:00 EDT / 1019707200 --> <row><v> NaN
</v><v> NaN </v></row>
<!-- 2002-04-25 00:40:00 EDT / 1019709600 --> <row><v>
6.6413308271e+03 </v><v> 8.0000526316e+03 </v></row>
</database>
</rra>
Is this a proper definition? I mean, is there something amiss here?

Actually, I think I just found part of the problem... Although, I'm
unsure why it's a problem...
I received this :
ERROR: Cannot update /usr2/local/graphmon/Data/38300.14.rrd with
'1019746493:1572495528:389840083' unknown consolidation function 'RRD'
I need to dig further, but... MRTG created these RRD's... I did
nothing to them, so why would it be trying to use RRD as a consolidation
function?
*sigh* Dig Dig Dig..

What OS are you using?
If Windows, have you tried using another daemon program?
I had the same problem on my NT system so I created Mr Daemon
(www.geocities.com/mrtg_daemon)
I also use Firedaemon to make Mr Daemon run as a service and have had no
problems since I started well over a year ago.

Subject: [mrtg] MRTG Daemon Process stopping for no reason
Hi all,
I'm having a problem running MRTG in the daemon mode... I have
35 config file that I'm running and it seems that every so often a few
of these will just stop for no reason. I've tried logging everything,
but it appears that the process just vanishes... ? Anyone seen
anything like this?
I'm running version 2.9.17....
Thanks,
