Hi,

from Docu:
Multi Target Syntax

You can also use several statements in a mathematical expression. This could
be used to aggregate both B channels in an ISDN connection or multiple T1s
that are aggregated into a single channel for greater bandwidth. Note the
whitespace arround the target definitions.
Example:

 Target[ezwf]: 2:public at wellfleetA + 1:public at wellfleetA
              * 4:public at ciscoF

(Not too much... ;-))

Search the list archive e.g. for math and target.
You find for example:
http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg/msg17711.html

Of course you can add constant values (like 100)
instead of multipling like in above example.

I'm not sure about syntax for multiplying just one of the two oids.

Others: can this be done?

bye,

Joerg

an entry which shows zero all the time should be easier to find.
You than can add 100 to that oid.

1. find oid which shows "0"
2. learn target syntax for adding 100 to that oid.
lots of info on using maths in a target in this list and in the docu

ok,
but the problem is that i dont want to use external script, i want that mrtg
use pure snmp commands.
do you know any entry that return 100 always?

thanks again
agustin.

Sort of. If you need to get 100, then you need to
find an OID that will return 100 all the time (yeah,
right!) or maybe do the snmpget of that OID and return
it with the 100 in an external script. It should not
be all that hard to do.

hi guys

i need to get a constant value ("100") for one request. i think that
something like this:

            Target[lucena_cpu]:
(100)&.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.11.0:pubpub at 10.240.214.60:

but its wrong. Anybody have an idea?

thanks for all

agus.
