Hy Stefan
if you ask me, MRTG is not the right Tool for availability SLAs. There are a lot of tools out there that are written for this purpose, BigBrother is one that comes to my mind if you want to keep it free. I dont know how good it is or how bad, we are using the comercial NetView for the availability thingies, so I never used BigBrother myself. But there are a lot more tools around im sure.
Greets
Michel

Betreff: [mrtg] Availability of specific devices
Hello out there,
after Jan Koelstra helped me out with the Ping-Probe i still have another
question.
For the management i have to proof the availability of specific devices.
Our contract says that the devices has to be availaby for 98,5%.
How can i do this with mrtg? Does somebody out there has the same problem
already solved?
Any help would be great!
thx a lot in advance
Stefan
