Hello

I would like to know how to monitor my CPU and HardDrive Disk usage using
MRTG.

I have been trying to read on how to do this and have had little luck.

>From what i understand this is how you do it.

In order to monitor my CPU I need to know the OID of my CPU. I don't know
this but from documentation I have been told to try these

1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.1&.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.1

if this is the correct OID I will pass this to my cfgmaker at command
prompt

perl cfgmaker OID:community at IPADDRESS > mrtg.cfg

which I was doing

perl cfgmaker
1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.1&.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.1:public at 192.192.1.247

which I get an error for

SO what am I doing wrong
1)do i have the right OID
2) Am I passing the arguments correctly

I am also reading about a MIB file I might need to include in my mrtg bin.
I dont know what MIB's are but my vague understanding is that The OID
number we are using is the "key" used to access the data for that device. like
the CPU OID I have above should access the CPU information from whatever
MIB I am using?

Is this right?
And what MIB should I include?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Rafael
