[mrtg] Threshold question

Hi!
I have a question for myself ..if someone could help
me out...I have configured the threshold parameters in
my mrtg.cfg file.the
configuration is as follows:

I  have added the 2 lines i.e 
"ThreshProgI[broadlogic]:/usr/script/broad_threshold "
& "
ThreshProgOKI[broadlogic]:/usr/script/threshprogoki_script"


in my conf file as you can see above ...

The mrtg file was reconfigured and it did not give any
errors.Now the
problem that i am facing is that when i remove the
ethernet cable from
my "boradlogic" receiver box then i can see a sudden
drop in the
throughput which goes below 250000 but still i donot
get any alerts from
the mrtg machine.I have set scripts namely
"broad_threshold" when there
is a threshold breach and "threshprogoki_script" when
the thresold
becomes OK ...but still there something fishy going on
..... The script
"broad_threshold" contains the following:

#!/bin/bash
echo "NSS is down" | sendmail -t salmanah at super.net.pk

while the script "threshprogoki_script" contains :

#!/bin/bash
echo "To: Salman Hashmi <salmanah at super.net.pk>"
echo "From: root <root at help.super.net.pk>"
echo "X-Priority: 1 (Highest)"
echo "Subject: AutoNOC: Alert  !! NSS Ok now"
echo "This is an alert for you because now the NSS is
OK !"| sendmail -t
salmanah at super.net.pk


Can you help me in this regard ???
