Run cfgmakeer like"cfgmaker --ifref=ip community at router"

I had the same problem, with this option the targets are referenced by IP address of the interface.

Subject: [mrtg] IfIndex on Cisco

Hi,

if I have a config reading like:

Target[targetid]: 1:

the interface with the index 1 is monitored.
No, if someone add/delete an interface on that box and reboot it, the IfIndex might change. AFAIK, in newer versions of IOS there is a feature "Interface Index Persistence", but I do not own the box that I monitor. Does anyone know about a way to have mrtg monitoring the right interface?

Rainer
