You want to figure out why it is running more than 5 minutes.

Adusting the interval will work, but IMHO is a bad solution.
What kind of hardware are you using? How many targets?
Are there other processes running on the same box?
Moving the interval around will most definitely mess up some
of your math.

Hey what do I need to change in mrtg to change the default daily value from 5 minutes to 10 minutes? Or will this screw up all the math? The reason I ask is when mrtg executes it sometimes detects a lock file, looks like sometimes it takes about 6 minutes to execute everything, so I wanted to execute every 10 minutes instead... Or could I just execute it every 10 minutes from cron, and would it still give me 5 minute averages?

Thanks,
Taylor
