Hi Bill,
I've had good results in similar situations by runnign multiple config
files, spread out over the 5 minute intervals. (Some starting at 0,
others starting at 2, etc).
As always, SCSI works better than IDE, especially for MRTG's somewhat I/O
intensive-ness with high number of targets.
