Sorry for the last post. I forgot that the lsit stipped attachments. So
here is the paste

Hello all -
Thought I would shoot this script up so anyone can use it. It is a
modification of the script in \mrtg\contrib\apc_ups -

Feed it an IP and community string and it will shoot back any time that read
HH:MM:SS to just minutes which is a number that MRTG can use. So for
example - 01:30:00 will return 90. Currently it is set up to return the
value of remaining battery life and amount of time on DC power for an APC
UPS, but it will work with any Oid that returns HH:MM:SS.

Docs are in the PL file.

If you know a bit of perl or shell scripting, you could do one
of a few things...

Do you want to graph in hours minutes, or seconds?

Based on what you want, you could try your hand with an external script,
just doing some simple math to convert it to a time that you want and
MRTG understands.

Then, just output it twice...

Hello,

I am monitoring some APC UPSs and can graph the output load and battery
charge remaining. I now want to monitor the estimated minutes remaining.
The mib reports this time remaining in the following format (timeticks):

     0:15:00

MRTG is expecting a number and doesn't know how to handle this data. Has
anyone developed a method of dealing with data in this format?
