Gary,
It should be a pretty fundamental problem if you cannot snmwalk the device
itself. Personnally I would verify two key points as follows: -
1. Is SNMP enabled and configured with an appropriate community string.
2. Ensure there are no ACLs that are preventing you from obtaining SNMP
details from the device.
