The graphs are created (with native MRTG) every 5 minutes, whether 
you view them or not.  It's just in how they are called that matters...

If you want the graphs only created on demand, use RRDTool as 
you backend and write your own front end...

Is it possible to configure mrtg to only print a graph and not the html
page? What I want to do is create several small 5-min graphs, and put
them side by side on an 800x600 webpage. Then when you click on these
graphs, it goes to the html page with the regular sized daily, weekly,
yearly graphs.
 
Is this possible?
