So, you're asking the MRTG group why the backup application won't work?

Yeah, that makes sense...NOT!

Contact the software publisher.  The log files are just really long text 
files with numbers in them.  Nothing fancy at all...

First, thanks for your reply.

what i talk about that i can not backup the log files using a backup
application (not mrtg), and it gives the following  error :

/data/mrtg/66.132.10.10_4004.log' truncated while reading in Shared Static
mode.

/data/mrtg/66.132.10.10_4005-day.png' truncated while reading in Shared
Static mode.

What are you talking about?  MRTG does not back up
anything.  It creates a .old file, but that is not
a backup.  Is that what your talking about?

If that is what you are talking about, does it fail
every time or just the first time?  If so, that is
normal...

hi all,

i have a problem dunring the backup of the mrtg log file.

The backup program fails while the files are updating.

Can any one support me.
