[mrtg] Target line variables

I trying to change centigrade to Fahrenheit form returned info.
This is the target line.

Target[asdf] : 10public at xx.xx.xx.xx  *  1.8  +  32

The value that is returned is multiplied by 1.8 but does not add the 32.
Any ideas
