Thanks for all your feedback guys, OK, I am now using getif, I tried before,
but it wasnt working because in the mibs.zip in the site, the perfmib.mib is
not included, but ok, so I manually copied the perfmib.mib from he computer
with snmp4w2k installed to my computer getif\mibs directory. Now I can see
the full mib tree in Getif. So I go to determined parameter, like
MemoryAvailableKbytes, the OID it gives me is
.1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.29, I do a walk on it and it returns the
correct value, I checked in the server being monitored. So OK, the snmp
service is working, but that damned thing called mrtg does not generate the
damn graphic! Could someone of you guys experienced in making configs put a
sample for me, for monitoring available/free memory in my server with ip
x.y.w.z and community public, so I can see if my mrtg conf is wrong? i can
walk through all the
microsoft->software->systems->os->windowsnt->performance values in getif
without any error, I am using mrtg version 2-9.17.

Thanks a lot

Marcio,

I think you're monitoring the wrong OID. Have you loaded the SNMP4W2K MIBs
into your MIB browser? According to my browser (GetIf), with the SNMP4W2K
MIBs loaded, the OID you're monitoring is
.1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.iP.ipDatagramsReceivedPerSec. I think what you
really want is:
.1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.terminal-Services.termsvcActiveSessions
(.1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.21.2). Or .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.21.1 for
termsvcTotalSessions.

could someone please help me, I am already thinking in suicide, heres the
deal: I installed the snmp4w2k package in the server, I used solarwinds mib
browser to query the server and discovered, like the terminal services OID
1.3.6.1.4.311.1.1.3.1.1.13.2 returns me the number of connections(this using
solarwinds mib browser), it does not give me any error message.

so I go and make the mrtg configuration

and run it, but all that mrtg gives me is a onstant graphic, always at value
1.o, no matter the number of actual connections

could someone please help me? what am i doing wrong? i am 3 days only trying
to make this thing work, but no luck, already read tons of documentation, i
even think i actually understand how it works, but cant seem to make it work

thanks very much
