Hi Jose Luis,

I would recommend the NETSNMP daemon instead the SUN snmpdx. Download the
source and compile it yourself. You shouldn't have problems with it because
it is very well documented. Then you make a SUN package yourself an install
it on all you SUN's.

Work perfect for me :)

Subject: [mrtg] Monitoring Solaris 8 via SNMP

Hello:

I am a newby MRTG user and I am impressed about the quick and effective
monitoring capabilities of MRTG with respect of my CISCO routers.

Right now I am focusing on investigating the possibility of doing the same
with Solaris 8 Servers (CPU usage, users connected, memory resources, etc)
spreaded over my network.

Does anybody know what do I have to do to set up both my snmpdx (Sun
Solstice Enterprise Master Agent SNMP daemon) and the mrtg program, so that
i can successfully accomplish this task????

Best regards, and thanks in advance,
