MRTG couldn't care less.  It doesn't matter if it needs to monitor
tokenring, speed of a car, people in a room.  Even more: it doesn't
know what device it is monitoring.

The only thing that it cares about is that it is fed with relevant
information.  If this information is not available, MRTG cannot do
its work.  Downloading a mib won't help, you need to tell MRTG what
to monitor.
