[mrtg] Compiling gd Please Help

I'm trying to install a version of MRTG on a SGI Indi running IRIX 6.5. 
However, compiling the gd library I get the following error. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figger out
what. 

Could someone please help me on this one ? 

      gcc -I. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/X11 -I/usr/X11R6/include/X11 -I/usr/local/include -I../zlib
-I../libpng -O -DHAVE_LIBXPM -DHAVE_LIBPNG -DHAVE_LIBJPEG  -DHAVE_LIBFREETYPE -DHAVE_LIBTTF  -c gd_jpeg.c
gd_jpeg.c: In function `fatal_jpeg_error':
gd_jpeg.c:49: structure has no member named `client_data'
gd_jpeg.c: In function `gdImageJpegCtx':
gd_jpeg.c:121: structure has no member named `client_data'
gd_jpeg.c: In function `gdImageCreateFromJpegCtx':
gd_jpeg.c:248: structure has no member named `client_data'
*** Error code 1 (bu21)

I have installed the libpng and zlib and used the following make command: 

make INCLUDEDIRS="-I. -I../zlib -I../libpng" \
      LIBDIRS="-L../zlib -L. -L../libpng" \
      LIBS="-lgd -lpng -lz -lm"
