Subject: RE: [mrtg] Updating MRTG and Using rrdtools
Currently the way that MRTG works when you specify log format as rrdtool
is to not create any graphs, so that's where the cgi's come in, creating
the graphs on demand when you are viewing them. So by default no, RRD
wouldn't work in your setup, however, you could pretty easily write a
script that would make rrdtool do exactly what mrtg does normally, to
just create each graph at a specified interval so you wouldn't need a
CGI. Someone may have already written something like that, but if not
RRDtool has pretty good documentation and I'm sure you could figure it
out.

Subject: [mrtg] Updating MRTG and Using rrdtools
I am currently running Mrtg 2-9-12a and would like to upgrade to the
latest version. What do I have to do to accomplish this? I would also
like to switch to rrd but our enviroment has chosen not to support CGI
formats is there anyway to get arround this and still use MRTG/RRD?
