Hi,
I attempting to chart inOctets/inErrors, and outOctets/outErrors using the RMON OIDs
 (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 , 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.14, 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16, and 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2 respectively). I'm charting a 3Com 1100 Switch, from a Redhat Linux 7.2 box. Here's a copy of a section of the config -
#----------------------------------
 WorkDir: /var/www/html/stats/switch

This section (graphing incoming traffic) works just fine. However, when I switch the OID's for the outgoing traffic stats (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.65&1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2.65), and leave everything else the same, it fails with the following error (the outbound target name is [Port65o]):

Rateup ERROR: /usr/bin/rateup found port65o's log file was corrupt
           or not in sorted order:
time: 1015520009.Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup could not read the primary log file for port65o
Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup The backup log file for port65o was invalid as well
Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup Can't remove port65o.old updating log file

 And Then with this:

Rateup ERROR: /usr/bin/rateup found port65o's log file was corrupt
           or not in sorted order:
time: 1015520469.Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup could not read the primary log file for port65o
Rateup ERROR: /usr/bin/rateup found port65o's log file was corrupt
           or not in sorted order:
time: 1015520469.Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup The backup log file for port65o was invalid as well
WARNING: rateup died from Signal 0
with Exit Value 1 when doing router 'port65o'
Signal was 0, Returncode was 1

I've tried moving it to another directory, I've tried removing all the '.ok', '.log', and 'old' files as well. I also noticed that for my (working) inbound traffic, the log file looks normal:
 1015520402 89722254 0
 1015520402 0 0 0 0
 1015520102 0 0 0 0

However, after the failed attempt at using the outbound monitor, my outbound log looks like this:
 1015520469 89804777 RMON VLAN 1
 1015520469 0 0 0 0
 1015520100 0 0 0 0

I thought maybe the switch was returning non-numeric values for the outbound OIDs, so i checked with snmpget (from the commandline) and got this:
 interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOutOctets.65 = Counter32: 90231367

So, the switch is answering up properly.

Any ideas on what's going wrong? Thanks for any help!
