Is SNMP running on the box?
Is MRTG on the same box as what you want to monitor?
Do you want to get more detail (like load vs. user+system timings)
than SNMP can give you?

Have you tried basic querying?  What MIBs is the net-snmp module loading?

I would like to write a .cfg file to monitor CPU, memory, temp.

Does anyone have the CPU, memory or temp OIDs for a RedHat 7.1 machine
with SNMP 4.2.2?

Or better yet does anyone have a .cfg file that they are willing to share?
