[mrtg] Is it possible?

I have MRTG running on our local network to monitor
the  traffic on a router. One of our clients has fiber
line to the Internet, definitely he will tell me their
router ip address and community name.

Can my MRTG monitor go through the Internet to monitor
his router traffic?
