[mrtg] one down link stops the mrtg from functioning.

hi,

we use mrtg for our various links connected thru our cisco-routers and
as-5300s. 

however when one of the links goes down, mrtg shows values which just drop
towards zero for other good links as well.

we have made cfg file for all devices and put it under a common global.cfg
file.	

what could be wrong? pls advise accordingly.
