[mrtg] long vs long long

Rateup uses "long" which limits its usefulness (only 32b on x86 platforms).
I submitted a patch in July 2001 so rateup could use long long. The patch 
didn't seem to make it in and I didn't get any feedback. Are patches for
rateup still being accepted now that rrdtool is the preferred rateup tool?
