[mrtg] Labeling .png files

Hello,

I'm writing an open source application to monitor network devices remotley
and display all graphs on one web page in an applet. I'm using MRTG to
generate the
graphs, but I need away to label the graph. I would like to place
something like gatewayRouter.cs.bogus.edu at the top of .png files. So I
need a way to either edit the .png files or place the name over possibly
via something like PHP.

Any advice is appeciated.
