Replace the forward slash after ifInErrors and ifOutErrors with a back slash
to read...
ifInErrors\ATM2/0.508&ifOutErrors\ATM2/0.508
You shouldn't need to escape any characters.

Subject: [mrtg] Help with using interface names
I am trying to use inferface names instead of port as I have hundreds of DSL
clients. Hacked around with / or \ and other stuff, with no luck.
What am I doing wrong ?
Here is the router config:
interface ATM2/0.508 point-to-point
description (Ken Feller) Lorna Greening
no ip route-cache
no ip mroute-cache
pvc 1/508
encapsulation aal5ciscoppp Virtual-Template3
Here is mt MRTG config:
### Interface 1 >> Descr: 'ATM2/0.508' | Name: '' | Ip: '' | Eth: '' ###
#Target[209.12.73.16]: \ATM2/0.508:monitor at 209.12.73.16:
Target[209.12.73.16_ATM2/0.508]:ifInErrors/ATM2/0.508&ifOutErrors/ATM2/0.508
:monitor at 209.12.73.16:
