Not instead, as well.

Attached is the CPU usage of a 2501 that I will be swapping for a more
powerful device tomorrow, I started monitoring it just yesterday.

If you want to look at the config, let me know.

The result you got from the walk was as expected, the .0 it added was the
instance number of the OID and the 'enterprises' means that your box knew
the OID name for the first section of the OID.

Thanks
Dave

Hi,

Thanks, i got it working. Thanks for pointing out my stupid mistake. You
think it's better to monitor the usage every 5 seconds instead of every 5
minutes? How does yours work with 1st oid for 5 sec average and second oid
for 5 min ave?

i made mine both 5 minute average. i just copied the good manual. :)

anyways, have you any idea about the result i got when i did a snmpwalk?

thanks,

Jonathan P Tornea

MRTG needs two data sources separated by an ampersand '&'.

The only problem with your target is that you need an AT sign '@' between
you community and device not a colon.

I also monitor CPU usage and for my first OID I monitor the 5 second average
which is ..9.2.1.56.0

So my target is...

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.56.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0:community at router_ip

You should also be using GAUGE in you options.
