Try this for a target

Target[cpu.1]:
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0&.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0:Community at x.x.x.x

Note the space before the first OID, and the dot beginning each OID.

Thanks for the Quick response.
I tried it again and got the same error.

Hello,

Typically I get that error when I don't realize that the Target line has
two line breaks in it, i.e. not a contiguous line. This is usually the
result of line wrapping in various editors.

CFGMaker I have no problem. Recently I have tried to introduce new
targets into my config scripts but they don't work. I keep getting the
same message: "Error in line X
target[x]:x.x.x.x.x.x&x.x.x.x.x.x:community at IP in XXX.cfg does not make
sense". This happens with every target that I try to monitor. What am I
doing wrong?
