What about doing a backup on the link to messure how much bandwidth it uses
and then offer a credit to the customer for that amount.
That seams a hole lot easier then re-inventing the wheel. Seams to me you
could also round up that number and include the bandwidth it takes for you
to manage the server(s).
The other way you could do it is to have a Dial on demand function possilble
ISDN and have the servers use that link for backups.
This would keep the backups off of the main Link.
Do you charge the customer for DoS attacks on there network ?
Do you charge the customer for virus attacks on there network ?
Seems to me that Codered and Nimda would cost a fortune :)
