Subject: [mrtg] help with monitoring PIX 520 CPU and Memory Usage

Hello All,

I am trying to monitor CPU and Memory usage on my PIX 520 with 3
interfaces(internal, external, dmz) and running PIX version 6.2(2). I have
gone through the archives and found some OID's for the PIX but they didn't
work for me? I am able to monitor the three interfaces on my PIX just fine,
but when I try to configure CPU and Memory monitoring, I can't seem to get
the correct OID string.

Here is what I added to my cfg file for Memory usage. A graph was created
with these OID's(unlike before with the incorrect OID's), but there is no
data in the graph, it just says 0 and has been running for days. If I use
getif, I am able to query the PIX and return the current memory in use and
current memory free, using the OID's that I used in my cfg file. So I know
that I have the correct OID's for Memory usage, but MRTG is for some reason
not graphing the data? (for this email i spaced between line wraps)
Target[pix_memory]:
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1&1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.6.1:mycommunity at 0.0.0.

According to the "reference.html" doc, I can specify my own OID values to
monitor a object, but need two values. I came across this post for the CPU
monitoring, but it only had the one OID value and did not work for me.

Cisco-Process-MIB:cpmCPUTotal5min.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1

I read up on Cisco's SNMP implementation on the PIX here:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/pixsnmp.html

Can someone shed some light on this for me? TIA
