[mrtg] can't explain strange behaviour

Since several years I'm monitoring a cisco router with about 30 frame relay
PVC's. 
At the moment I'm moving the PVC's from a 2 MB serial link to a 34 MB HssI
interface.
After I've moved some PVC's I discoverred that the the load on the moved
PVC's was to high or not presented in a correct way maybe? 
Up to 128  Kb on a 64 Kb link etc. 
To check what's going wrong I also configured MRTG to monitor one link on
the other side of the PVC.
Now I'm mesuring on both sides of one PVC and the traffic flow on remote
side looks fine to me.

Has anybody  an explainnation for this behaviour?
