[mrtg] need some direction

hye !!

i'm having some major issues in getting my win2k (pro for now, server if i
can get this working) monitoring to work at all.

i've check out the companion sites off the mrtg homepage but they didn't
help too much, gave me a good start but thats about it.

in the end all of them use custom scripts to get their data, which doesn't
really help people who can't make scripts for themselves <like me :( > !!

so .......

what i was able to follow, i setup the snmp service with a community key,
and for all purposes it works (kind of at a loss on how to test is out)

upon suggestion from one of those sites, i tried snmputil to get info:

C:\mrtg\bin>snmputil get public localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.1 
error on SnmpMgrOpen 11001

they said that the above OID was for processor usage

i've seen before from other people's posts (for some reason when i need them
i can't find them thru the archive search), about how they used OIDs
(specific ones) to monitor what they wanted.

there a list someplace which has a bunch of oids ??

basically i'm looking to monitor my nic card for traffic.

any direction someone can point me to (besides back to the archives) :)
would be welcome !!
