There is no "MRTG 2.9.22-2.7.2" so I guess you have to ask the
person that created this distribution.

cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Linux release 7.3 (Valhalla)

I've just downloaded the source straight from the home of mrtg
and it worked.  It is thus not an MRTG problem.

I guess your package was not built on RH7.3 and the dependencies
aren't setup properly.
