RedHat has a utility chkconfig. Check out the man page.

Subject: [mrtg] How to start cleanly and automatically after a reboot the mrtg
and the httpd processes under LINUX RED HAT 7.2 ?

I want to start the httpd (apache) and the MRTG processes under LINUX
RED HAT 7.2 when the operating system is rebooting (run level 5).

Does anybody know how I can do it *very* cleanly ?

Do I need to create a script for MRTG like the one developped for httpd
in /etc/rc.d/rc5.d ?

Can anyone help me, please ?
