[mrtg] mrtg arithmetic + target syntax

I've searched google and all the docs I could come across but was still left
a bit clueless.

Is there a comprehensive guide to the syntax that 'Target' can accept?  I
need to get a bit creative with the values of the In&Out before graphing
them but would prefer to avoid having to run external scripts and snmpgets.
In particular, I would like to know whether i can carry out independent
arithmetic operations on the In and Out.
