[mrtg] GD compile error

Hello all,

I am in the process of moving our MRTG installation from an AIX 4.3 box
to a new 5.1 box. Using the MRTG Unix installation guide I am compiling
the libraries MRTG requires, but have run into a problem with the GD
2.0.11 library. I have researched the MRTG archives and the
documentation for GD and have not been able to find a solution. After
starting the make process, I receive the following errors:

ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .atan2
ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .cos
ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .sin
ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .sqrt
ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .floor
collect2: ld returned 8 exit status
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.
Stop.

I am not sure if the undefined symbols are part of GD, or missing from
the zlib or libpng compiles that I thought had completed successfully.
I searched our current production MRTG environment for these items and
was unable to find them (using 'find' from the root directory and
individually in the zlib, libpng and gd libraries), but must admit my
ignorance as to where they would reside and how they might be named
post-compile.

Any help or pointers to helpful documentation would be appreciated.

Mike
