[mrtg] Log Calculation - Current In/ Out

I believe someone on the mailing list already ask this question in regards to calculating the log. I still have problem trying to figure out how the graph interpret the log number. Here are the first few lines of the log. Can someone explain the math formula to calculate current in/out?
