Hi, 

Try to read the Indexmaker reference at 

http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/indexmaker.html

A very simple example:

indexmaker --output=filename mrtg.cfg

where 'filename' is the name of the output file and 'mrtg.cfg' is your
config file.
