I use the following command in my script the Catalyst 5500's:
perl /usr/bin/cfgmaker --no-down --ifref=name --ifdesc=descr \
--global "PageTop[_]: <h1>Catalyst 5500 Switch</h1>" \
--subdirs=HOSTNAME public at device
I use the following command in my script for the Catalyst 2924's:
perl /usr/bin/cfgmaker --no-down --ifref=name --ifdesc=alias \
--global "PageTop[_]: <h1>Catalyst 2924 Switch</h1>" \
--subdirs=HOSTNAME public at device

Does anyone has a working example of cfgmaker with the option
ifref=name on a Catalyst switch? I use the option but the interfaces
continue to show by snmp interface number.
Thanks,
Sergio
