One final reply to myself from myself:
I have further narrowed down this problem to rateup. MRTG
is passing the correct values to rateup and rateup is somehow
mangling up the data.
I'm going to setup a second mrtg to use rrdtool and run
that one along with the old one using rateup simulataneously
and see what happens.
I'd love to hear from the author about this, especially
if I can provide more information to help solve the
problem. I could be running into limitations of rateup
aswell.
Thanks,
Holt
