Nope it just means that is what the router reports via SNMP, you will have
the full BW you have available.

Does that mean the maximum BW I can have is 9K? If I change the BW to 128K
in the router can I use upto 128K.
I think its better to change that on the mrtg config file. suggestions??
Best Regards,
Raj.

The default bandwidth setting for a tunnel interface is 9k (Cisco platform).
You can either add a bandwidth statement on your tunnel interface (be aware
of the routing metric impact) or just change your config file.
Hope this helps

Hi Group,
I have router with a tunnel interface to another location. I was told that
the BW of the tunnel is 128K. I want to plot the util graph using MRTG. When
I run MRTG and create the config file I find the following info below..
System: XXXXX- in
Maintainer:
Description: Tunnel10 Tunnel to XXXXX-R1
ifType: Other (1)
ifName: Tu10
Max Speed: 1125.0 Bytes/s
Ip: x.x.x.x ()
Why is that the Max speed is only 9Kb (1125Bytes).
Can somebody help. Thanks for the time..
Best Regards,
Raj.
