Max,
Yes its possible. As far I know you can do it in two different ways.
1. Store the mrtg data in an SQL database:

2. Copy the day log to another location/name at 23:58 each day before the
compress cyclus starts. I think there are an script ready for this in the
contrib directory for mrtg.
