}It shows up in two places:  the Cisco Environmental Monitor 
}Mib, and the
}Cisco Entity Sensor Mib.  Neither has proven to be overly reliable -
}there was a long thread in this newsgroup about the measurement not
}changing.  You might want to conduct your own experiments using
}ciscoEnvMonTemperatureState and entSensorValue
}
}  I haven't monitored using that box for a while - I've been using
}external probes from Uptime Devices instead.

If you want to monitor temperature, don't bother with the 6500's,
the support is just too spotty - it works in one IOS, then in a 
later one it doesn't, or in some cases the temperature sensor on
the hardware just doesn't work ever. I've had much better luck 
getting inlet and outlet temperature from 7500's and 7200's. If 
you have one or more of these, you can use the following 
template to generate a config:
