[mrtg] traffic above MaxBytes graphed incorrectly

I have a low traffic server with occasional peaks
during backup time (several MByte/sec). If I use the
default cfg settings then everything is scaled so that
the peaks fit in, but the rest is unrecognizable.

This cfg file below is close to what I want but during
backup time the graph is stuck at the last setting. I
want it at the max setting (100 KByte/sec), but I
could not figure out how to do this.

Any suggestions?
