that's not the problem:
what is the problem: with lines maxed out, ADSL-users are monitoring speeds
from,
for me, eg: 3mbit incoming, and 128 kbit outgoing.
when plotting 3mbit incoming, the 128 kbit outgoing isn't visible.

the two maxbyte values are only usefull for discarding illegal values

The suggestion with two graphs works fine, though.

maybe, it's even possible to make1 png a background from another,
and can the incoming and outgoing be plotted over each other that way?
I know, it's a far shot, but still.
