Install gnu gcc package, it's on the RedHat CD in the RPM.
I usually use Mandrake and there is URPMI command, it checks for
dependencies and installs as needed using the CD, not sure if RedHAt has the
same thing.
I would also install Bison, just a personal thing,

Subject: [mrtg] installing MRTG 2.9.29 on Redhat 9.0
I am trying to get mrtg to compile on my system. From what i can tell i
have everything i need. I've done a rpm -q for zlib, gd, and libpng.
[root at rrcs-midsouth mrtg-2.9.29]# rpm -q zlib
zlib-1.1.4-8
[root at rrcs-midsouth mrtg-2.9.29]# rpm -q gd
gd-1.8.4-11
[root at rrcs-midsouth mrtg-2.9.29]# rpm -q libpng
libpng-1.2.2-16
[root at rrcs-midsouth mrtg-2.9.29]# rpm -q perl
perl-5.8.0-88
But when i do a ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mrtg-2 i get this
message:
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
So what do i need to do? Any help would be great?
