Thx for responding..

If I do a dump (sparc rrd) then a restore to x86 rrd, will I lose all of my current x86 data ?

I hope I didn't confuse anyone, basically, the sparc data stopped when the x86 data started.

This is documented in the rrdtool man page.

"man rrdtool" lists these functions:

        dump    Dump the contents of an RRD in plain ASCII. In
                connection with restore you can use it to trans-
                port an rrd from one architecture to another.
                Check the rrddump manpage.

        restore Restore an RRD in XML format to a binary rrd ...
                Check the rrdrestore manpage
