[mrtg] Strange graphs

Hi all.
I'm running mrtg-2.9.17 with RRDtool 1.0.42 off redhat linux 9.  Look at
the attached graphs from Cisco1720 (serial interface).  It started
around week20, as you can see in the picure mrtgbugmonth.png.  Other
graphs from the box are fine (cpu, memory) only traffic graphs are
affected.
Any ideas what is causing this?
