[mrtg] Problems with external script

Hi,

My mrtg.cfg file contains a line like:

Target[mail_2]: `/root/getdata`

The script /root/getdata results in:
martini:~ # /root/getdata
1596
243
3:24:04.54
mail
martini:~ #

mrtg runs with complaining, but the graphs don't show anything and the logfile 
looks strange:
martini:~ # head /srv/www/htdocs/mrtg/mail_2.log
1068036903 1595 243
1068036903 0 0 0 0
1068036603 0 0 0 0
1068036600 0 0 0 0
1068036300 0 0 0 0
1068036000 0 0 0 0
1068035700 0 0 0 0


I tried a lot but only the first line of the logfile changes with time. Any 
help / ideas ? Thanks.
